The Your Sushi Chefs will teach you all the Sushi skills you'll need to start selling great Sushi at your Fishmonger while achieving great cost efficiency.

This is a great way to attract new customers to your establishment and also an amazing way to give customers the ability to try your products! (Just think about it.)

Courses can be tailored to your specific needs, you can come to us in our London centre or we can also come to you and start setting up your space.

Sushi making requires no space at all, so this can be easily done, no stove, simply a rice cooker!

Fishmonger Sushi Training Day (8 hours)

  • Introduction and the history of Japanese cooking
  • Japanese cooking utensils and knives
  • How to sharpen and maintain Japanese knives
  • How to properly prepare the fish & Shelfish
  • How to slice the sashimi using the Hira-zukuri, Sogi-zukuri, and other methods
  • Preparing and cutting of vegetables for sushi
  • Basic sushi rice preparation
  • Basic traditional roll making
  • Special rolls making  (hosomaki, tekkamaki, kappamaki, uramaki)
  • Preparing whole/filleted fish into Saku blocks for sashimi and sushi

The training can also be held at your premises for one or several person over a suitable time - Discounts available for block bookings.
